The NJ DEP has adopted, with changes on adoption, comprehensive amendments to the Flood Hazard Area Control Act Rules. These amendments were first proposed on June 1, 2015. For more information, see the notice of rule adoptions page. The changes also necessitated the need to change the Coastal Zone Management Rules (N.J.A.C. 7:7) and Freshwater Wetlands Protection Act rules (N.J.A.C. 7:7A) and the Stormwater Management Rules (N.J.A.C. 7:8) to make adjustments to reflect the changes to the Flood Hazard Control Act Rules.
Note: The Division is in the process of modifying it’s website to address these amendments and has made every attempt to insure that these changes accurately reflect the newly adopted rules. Where there is any discrepancy between the webpages and the adopted rule, the rule shall govern.
