| Submit Your Proposal for 2009 Building for Boomers & Beyond Symposium by Friday, July 11th |
The NAHB 50+ Housing Council's Symposium Committee is looking for the "revolutionaries" of the 50+ housing industry, who are setting the standard for excellence. We are now accepting proposals for speakers for next year's Building for Boomers & Beyond: 50+ Housing SymposiumSM coming up April 27-29, 2009, at the Marriott Philadelphia Downtown. Deadline for proposals is Friday, July 11.
Capitalizing on Philadelphia's rich history and growing reputation as a hotbed for retirement housing, the working theme is "Revolutionary Ideas for the 50+ Housing Industry." As the title suggests, the programming won't be a celebration of the past but a look into the future. Industry experts will share how they are rightsizing their current product in today's challenging market and how they are positioning their companies for the long run with innovative, out-of-the-box strategies.
We encourage you to submit fresh, new ideas. Programs should include your own success stories as well as case studies that break the mold. We're looking for programs that are interactive, thought-provoking and fun while deviating from the standard lecture format. All breakout sessions should involve some type of Q-and-A to engage the audience.
New this year is the Executive Track featuring programs tailored to builders, developers and high-level professionals. Executive programs will focus heavily on finance, impacts and issues that affect a company's movers and shakers. When submitting a program, please tell us why this program should be included in the Executive Track.
To be considered for a 2009 Symposium education program, please be aware of the following important requirements:
- You must have access to email and the Internet in order to participate as a Symposium speaker. All correspondence will be through email and the Internet.
- Education speakers who present at the Symposium are NOT paid an honorarium and travel expenses are NOT reimbursed. Speakers DO receive a complimentary registration to next year's Symposium.
- You must be available to speak any and all days of the Symposium, April 27-29, 2009, in order to be considered.
- Completing and submitting the RFP DOES NOT guarantee you a speaking slot at the Symposium.
