After careful and thoughtful consideration, NJBA leadership has decided to cancel this year’s Associates Appreciation Gala previously scheduled for Thursday, September 4, 2008. Instead, the awards will be presented during a special ceremony at the Fall Board Meeting, taking place on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at the Trenton Marriott, with additional details to follow in the coming days.

This decision was made for a number of reasons, but perhaps most notably, out of consideration and respect for our members’ time and resources. In recent months, we have called upon you to come to Trenton to attend a number of hearings, just as we have called upon you to support our legislative initiatives through your financial contributions.

And while it is absolutely fitting for us to celebrate and acknowledge the tremendous contributions of our Associate members, we felt that it was more appropriate to do so at a non-ticketed event out of consideration for all our members, with sensitivity to these challenging times.
