NJBA Issues Call for Entries for the 23rd Annual Sales and Marketing (SAM) Awards

New Categories Introduced, Efficient Online Entry System Featured, Sponsorship Opportunities Offered

Hamilton, NJOnline entries are now being accepted for the New Jersey Builders Association’s (NJBA) 23rd annual Sales and Marketing (SAM) Awards for 2010. These highly-coveted awards are being presented in more than 80 categories, recognizing the year’s most creative and successful residential advertising and marketing programs within New Jersey. The awards will be presented during the 23rd annual SAM Awards Banquet on Tuesday evening, April 13, 2010 at The Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ. The event is expected to draw more than 500 attendees, and will kick-off the 61st Annual Atlantic Builders Convention (ABC).

As the homebuilding industry continues to evolve, so too does the SAM Awards program. Some of the more notable changes include:
  • The addition and expansion of green building, redevelopment, remodeling, mixed-use, rental and modular categories;
  • Categories which recognize the emergence of, and excellence within, e-marketing and other “new” media campaigns; plus
  • An exclusive online submission system which maximizes efficiencies and conserves resources.
 NJBA President, Michael Karmatz, shared, “The homebuilding industry continues to advocate that it’s a great time to buy: housing affordability remains high, interest rates are low, inventory is plentiful, incentives – including the first-time homebuyer tax credit – are available, and homeownership is a tremendous long-term investment.”

SAM Committee Chair Stephanie Shaffery of 20 Twenty Graphics added, “Each year, we present the SAM Awards to a number of talented individuals whose creativity, dedication and professional accomplishments contribute so much to New Jersey’s housing industry. This year will be no exception. We expect to receive hundreds of qualified entries for these highly-coveted and esteemed awards.”

Shaffery continued, “Advertising and marketing campaigns raise awareness, increase traffic and propel sales and rentals. Such activities are especially critical and challenging in a competitive marketplace and a difficult economy, so we applaud those that have generated demonstrative and positive results.”

The SAM Awards banquet facilitates the chance to network with industry leaders and other professionals in the field while recognizing the accomplishments of peers, reinforcing existing relationships, and meeting prospective clients.

Karmatz echoed this observation, saying, “The SAM Awards banquet is an event not to be missed. It is an amazing production and provides a unique and valuable forum to meet and prospect new business – especially given the caliber of those in attendance.”

In addition to networking at the SAM Awards banquet, there are a number of worthwhile marketing opportunities which afford sponsors great exposure and maximum return on investment; these can be found online at http://www.abconvention.com/downloads/10SAMadvertisingFlyer.pdf.

Information about the SAM Awards, including award categories and the entry process, can be found online at http://www.abconvention.com/callforentries/index.php. All entries must be received by December 11, 2009. Additional information about the 23rd annual SAM Awards banquet, including ticket sales, will be available online in the coming months.
