Alera Group offering NJBA Member 15% off Newly required Bonds

Alera Group, provides risk management and consulting services that help you mitigate risk, control costs and protect what matters most. The Alera Group recently added to their package of services by negotiating a 15% discount for all NJBA members when they purchase the newly required bonds under the new home improvement contractors licensing law. The financial guarantee that is now required by law in NJ depends on the value of the contracts the contractor works on and Alera Group is offering to NJBA Members only a 15% discount on the following bonds:

Bond amounts:

• $50,000: For contracts over $120,000 or annual services totaling at least $750,000

• $25,000: For contracts between $10,000 and $120,000 or annual services between $150,000 and $750,000

• $10,000: For contracts under $10,000 or annual services totaling less than $150,000

What NJBA Members Recieve

• $10,000 bond - normally $100, NJBA members get it for $85

• $25,000 bond - normally $250, NJBA members get it for $212.50

• $50,000 bond - normally $500, NJBA members get it for $425

What’s Needed to Apply for the Bond?

• Provide business name

• Principal first and last name

• Email address of principal
